Our commitment

This website is operated by [Legal entity name — to be confirmed] under the SnagRight brand. We aim to make it usable by as many people as possible, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

Our target standard

We are designing and building the website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor and cognitive impairments.

What we are building in

  • Structure: each page has a single main heading and a logical heading order, with landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer.
  • Keyboard access: every link, button and control can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Skip link: a "skip to main content" link at the top of each page.
  • Text alternatives: images have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers. Illustrations are labelled as illustrations.
  • Colour and contrast: text and interface elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, and information is never conveyed by colour alone.
  • Resizing: pages work when text is enlarged and on small screens, without horizontal scrolling.
  • Touch targets: buttons and links are designed to be at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch screens.
  • Motion: animation is kept to a minimum and respects the "reduce motion" setting on your device.
  • Forms: form fields have visible labels, clear instructions and error messages that explain how to fix a problem.
  • Interactive tools: the inspection selector, area explorer and sample report explorer are designed to work with a keyboard and screen readers.
  • Plain language: we write in plain English and explain technical terms when we first use them.

Known limitations

[Known limitations — to be confirmed after accessibility testing.] Some downloadable documents, such as inspection reports, may not yet meet the same standard as web pages. If you need a document in a different format, please ask.

How we test
